Position Summary

The Recruiter for Talent Acquisition is responsible for the research, development, and implementation of effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified talent. The Recruiter oversees and coordinates the day-to-day activities of HR in the areas of recruiting, hiring, and onboarding, ensuring that Barriere Construction Co. is in full compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This position will focus on our Hourly recruiting efforts.

Responsibilities

Recruitment

  • Recruit and source candidates using a variety of search methods to build a robust candidate pipeline and is familiar with a wide variety of sourcing avenues.
  • Identify future hiring needs and develops job descriptions and specifications.
  • Conducts needs assessments with hiring managers to discuss requisition needs.
  • Ensures timely posting of job vacancies.
  • Manages full life cycle recruitment (source, post, prescreen, schedule, background, references, offer, onboarding, etc.).
  • Provides an initial assessment of applications and resumes to pre-screen for hiring managers.
  • Manages and maintains SuccessFactors Recruiting portal and maintains a database of requisitions.
  • Provides verbal or written feedback regarding candidates to hiring managers.
  • Ensures that all recruiting processes are documented, consistent, and efficient.
  • Ensures that hiring and job ads are in compliance with EEOC laws.
  • Attend job/career fairs.
  • Develop a relationship with local schools/organizations that conduct training for the construction industry.

Talent Acquisition and Development

  • Coordinates and oversees the onboarding and orientation of new employees.
  • Visits and educates others in the community about the construction industry.
  • Presents and trains new supervisors in interview training and hiring best practices.
  • Provides stay interviews of new hires and exit interviews

Employee Relations

  • Visits job sites to check on new hires and current employees.
  • Inform employees of new and changing policies.
  • Answers employee questions and assists employees with any employee relations issues.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Three (3) years of full-time, hands-on employee recruiting experience
  • High School diploma and 7 years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in HR, Business or other related field
  • 3 years of full-time recruiting experience
  • Experience with Viewpoint
  • Experience with Successfactors
  • Experience recruiting hourly staff
  • Experience recruiting in the Construction industry
