Responsibilities
• The candidate will support the senior members of the US Corporate BRM Team in managing and developing Fitch's business relationships. This job is specifically with Fitch's Investor Development Team (IDT), which coordinates and manages Fitch's outreach efforts with large institutional investors.
• This role requires a basic understanding of the debt capital markets and ratings business. Some exposure to corporate credit analysis through prior experience or internships considered helpful. The candidate must have strong analytical capabilities coupled with aspirations to develop business development and/or client analytics acumen longer term.
• The candidate will be responsible for specialized market research to formulate outreach and engagement strategies under guidance from senior members of the team. This includes strategic distribution of product research through electronic distribution channels. Interest in expanding visibility strategies that include podcasts and other platforms considered a plus.
• The candidate will have multiple reporting lines and will need to manage several projects concurrently. The IDT group regularly hosts conference calls, webinars, live events and meetings and the Market Research Associate plays a central role in organizing, coordinating and executing these activities.
• The candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing quantitative databases and analysis of client engagement data sets including reporting on client engagement, readership and outreach statistics.
Position Requirements
• Bachelor's degree required, preferably with a degree in business, finance, marketing, economics or other financial-focused field of study.
• Self-starter who can understand objectives, take initiative to execute on day-to-day activities as well as special projects and work independently.
• Familiarity with Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations would be helpful. Familiarity with CRM and marketing tools like Salesforce and Marketo considered a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills along with analytical aptitude. Comfort with client interaction required.
• Team oriented, with an ability to effectively build relationships both externally and internally.
• High level of focus, organizational skills and attention to detail.

FOR NEW YORK AND CALIFORNIA ROLES ONLY: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $65,000 and $75,000. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base pay is one part of Fitch's total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch.
