Controller, Material / Warehouse Assoc. (Finance)

Job Responsibilities:
• Be flexible with all Shipping & Receiving tasks i.e. unboxing, packaging, creating shipment paperwork, and the movement of parts
• May require to move parts from S&R to various departments and/or bring parts back to S&R from those departments - walk on average of 4+ miles on any given day
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted, should also be able to frequently pull parts on skids with pallet jack
• Reconciles incoming Bill of Landings (BOL's) discrepancies with carriers, notes and communicates incoming damage
• Responsible for reconciliation of incoming parts, Purchase Orders (POs), Repair Orders (RO's) shipping invoices, and documentation of any discrepancies with incoming paperwork and conditions of content of box/crate
• Sorts incoming materials and supplies for supply chain to pick up.
• Forklift experience preferred for transporting parts, and supplies, and movement of inventory
• Capable of working with cranes for lifting parts
• Must have basic computer knowledge i.e. Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Knowledge of DHL, FEDEX, and UPS systems is preferred along with any shipping experience working with BOL's, shipping paperwork needed to process shipments, experience with working with carriers to coordinate and organize shipments
• Packages parts to be shipped out of the facility, prepares shipping labels, and documentation. May prepare custom documents and shipper declarations as required
• May ship hazardous materials in accordance with IATA/ICAO
• Promotes ongoing continuous improvement initiatives
• Complies with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) Quality Procedures (QPs) and local work instructions
• May work with the Quality Team to ensure proper receipt or shipment of part
• Observes all safety, environmental and general housekeeping rules and policies
• Participates in overtime during the week/end as deemed necessary based upon business needs
• May perform other duties as required by the department
Position Requirements
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in shipping and receiving and inventory organizations preferred
• Prior work experience in a shop or industrial environment preferred
Good customer service skills in dealing with various shop personnel, employees from other facilities, and external customers
• Average computer skills in order to use various internal operating systems, and communicate via e-mail.
• Must show initiative
• Must be able to read and comprehend written instructions and speak and write clearly to communicate with employees, customers and vendors and document work performed
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
