Job Description
Overview: The Product Support Engineer will provide technical support to the Teledyne Controls suite of products. The ideal candidate will serve as the subject matter expert for assigned products, address all technical inquiries from the customer or other field engineers covering installations, operations, training, and documentation. In this role the Prodcut Support Engineer will find solutions to problems, assist customers by working through technical difficulties, serve as the internal customer for product improvements during engineering design reviews in additon to providing guidance on product entry into service, system integration support, and production optimization. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. - Install and/or conducts planning with customers for on-site installation of equipment and follow established testing procedures to ensure proper working order. - Train and instruct customers in equipment operation and maintenance responsibilities. - Deliver technical presentations utilizing a strong knowledge of company products. - Provide advanced and complex troubleshooting and technical support to engineers, technicians and customers as required. - Provide same-day response for customer-support related calls and emails during normal working hours. - Travel required to provide installation, troubleshooting, or training on products. - Apply knowledge of installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. - Create and maintain Technical Publications, including Service Bulletins and CMM's. - Support troubleshooting of returned products in our repair facility. - Review Customer Support License Agreements to ensure that entitlements are in order and inform Customer Administration if inconsistencies are found. - Intermediate level of technical knowledge of electronics. - Availability outside of normal working hours when necessary to respond to AOG calls, urgent customer needs or reach goals and deadlines\n\n- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Engineering, Computer Science or Aeronautical discipline - At least three (1) to (3) years' of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience - Strong MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) skills are required - Able to enter, monitor and report on issues using a CRM helpdesk tool - Experience with any of the following programming languages: Microsolf SQL, Java, JavaScript, C#, C++, Python is highly desirable - Software background in Teledyne products such as AirFASE, AGS, GBAT, LSE or Triggers and Logic compiling strongly preferred - Demonstrated ability to facilitate resolution of advanced technical challenges. - This position requires up to 15-20% domestic travel and up to 10-15% International travel Preferred: - Familiar with Avionics, Aviation, and/or Aerospace specifications, processes, and materials - Experience with cloud CRM helpdesk tools such as (Salesforce, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft CRM) - Basic software knowledge of DFDAU, FDIMU, AGS, AirFASE, and GBAT - Avionics and Aviation systems experience strongly preferred - Ability to read and analyze electronic schematics, bills of material, and engineering drawings is highly desired.
Salary Range:
$59,400.00 - $99,220.00
