RETAIL SUPPORT REPRESENTATIVE (Sales)
The Retail Support Representative is responsible for providing traditional sales services needed by our membership with respect to product, programs, consumer events and retail execution of strategic paint initiatives for all manufactured and distributed paint items offered by True Value Company. This role is located in an outbound call center and will help educate and grow our memberships' retail paint department performance. This position is instrumental in helping identify key growth accounts in our membership and helping to set priorities based on an opportunity basis with the help of the Retail Paint Specialists. Will manage the coordination for all Paint Training programs, as well as initiate new product placement, gain retail execution on Member Marketing Plans, National and Local Event participation, Market development funds and educate members on wholesale buying opportunities to maximize margin potential for identified stores.
Scheduled Days: Monday through Friday Hours: 7:30am to 4pm
****Note: Must be able to work one Saturday every 5 weeks from 9am to 2pm
Responsibilities (May perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned).
1. True Value Manufacturing "Ready or Retail" updates including new programs, products education and placement, top selling items, mdf utilization and seasonal market specials.
2. Communicate pertinent national branded paint and paint sundry line review changes, upgrades, specials, new product lines and CTB buying opportunities to the membership.
3. Gain participation of True Value National and Local Events with effective coordination and execution of outbound advertising and in store preparation in accordance with current retail best practices.
4. Manage member training program participation and help successfully execute all aspects in accordance with True Value Company's annual training initiatives.
5. Communicate relevant industry and voc information in an effort to keeps members current and compliant with new state and local legislation.
6. Effectively gather and analyze leads through interfacing with our membership, national brand partners and industry trade publications for high comp store growth potential members and prioritize efforts for the Retail Paint Specialists.
7. Works in a high energy outbound call center educating customers on needed product and program changes that affect member profitability.
Education & Experience
· Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
· 1-3 years of experience, preferably in Customer Service, Communication, Compliance, Manufacturing, Marketing, Merchandising, Retail, Sales, or similar industry.
· Exceptional phone and sales skills. Able to deal with multiple personalities and deal with difficult situations.
· Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
