Director, Tech Lead (Information Technology)

Within Global Technology the EDT & USIR organization is seeking a Director, Tech Lead to join the Platform Engineering team to focus on developing solutions that enable development teams to rapidly adopt AWS cloud computing and other advanced CTO product capabilities. This role requires understanding of diverse technology solutions, IT service and Agile way of working. The ideal candidate will leverage their technology skills to become a trusted technology partner for the technology and business units we support.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead team of developers and engineers to deliver high-quality outcomes
  • Coach and educate team on industry trends and emerging technologies
  • Foster an Agile environment
  • Collaborate with global technology partners, architects, chief product owner, product owners and team members to drive outcomes
  • Guide teams on technology strategy related to coding practices, continuous integration, and automated deployment, and help to interpret technology strategy into consumable units of work
  • Support change, help accelerate modernization and adoption
  • Demonstrating experience with taking intelligent risks and leveraging a ‘test and learn' mentality

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or experience in related fields
  • 7+ years building and developing complex applications, 2+ years managerial experience
  • Clear, professional communications (listening, oral and written communications)
  • Strong relationship building and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across the organization and influence a diverse group of stakeholders and technical experts
  • Previous experience in an Agile development environment
  • Working knowledge of modern DevOps and CI/CD workflows and tools
  • Strong technical experience planning, building and running cloud applications within AWS, including microservices patterns, security integration, and cloud native development support. (AWS certification a plus)
  • Ability to demonstrate a systematic approach to problem-solving coupled with a strong sense of ownership and drive
