About the Opportunity
National IT has an immediate opening for a GVP – Corporate Services BDG. Reporting to the National IT Chief Client Services Officer, this new GVP role is responsible for managing a dedicated team of National IT members who are fully focused on enabling value delivery for the ERP Support Office, Public Affairs, Community Development, Subcommittee on Administrative Services and Reserve Bank IT areas of business. They will manage the portfolio of information technology products and services that address each unit's unique business needs and requirements. As a key part of the National IT leadership team, they will provide broad perspective and thought leadership to develop and implement key strategies and critical business priorities at the System level.
What You Will Do
Lead the BDG team providing dedicated support to assigned National IT and business partner(s), and execute on custom demand needs, while curating a partner-specific experience
Manage relationships with key stakeholders (CIOs, Business leaders, Reserve Bank presidents and other business and technology stakeholders) as well as objectives and key results for the BDG
Anticipate changes in the business environment and collaborates across the System to ensure alignment between business priorities and BDG direction
Serve as the face of National IT for business and manages overall business relationships
Define the overall vision for the Corporate Services BDG and the portfolio of products and services aligned to the group(s)
Lead the formulation of the BDG – designate leaders (such as Product line managers or Product owners) in alignment with the vision and help draft squad mission and goals
Define and enforce NIT and business quality standards (non-functional requirements)
Identify and communicate acceptance criteria for functional requirements
Design, deliver and implement BDG roadmaps, while maintaining key timelines
Lead quarterly business planning for the Group; prepare Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR)
Shape and manage the BDG backlog: prioritizing workstreams and epics for the Group
Creates an atmosphere of confidence and trust in the BDG and motivates squads to fulfill tasks
Develop proposals on the BDGs composition and headcount, while also managing the BDG budget and making resource allocation decisions in concert with stakeholders
Qualifications
Proven leader with working knowledge of, and experience with Product Management and Agile Methodologies
Demonstrated ability to lead a team through changing work requirements and priorities, demanding deadlines, operational crisis situations, as well as being able to keep pace with multiple concurrent initiatives and develop and implement long term goals and operating plans
Ability to effectively navigate and achieve results on initiatives that have both a cross-functional and cross-district impact. Experience leading initiatives that have significant broad impact across the System preferred.
Expertise in relationship management and an exemplary ability to manage stakeholder expectations through clear and transparent communications
Learning mindset geared toward innovation and creativity for applying technology capabilities in new ways, necessary for both the delivery of effective technology and business solutions
Five (5) to seven (7) years of executive leadership experience in a demanding environment, including experience in setting the strategic direction, being accountable for and delivering strategic objectives, aligning programs with the organization's strategic direction, and focusing on continuous improvement efforts within a complex IT organization.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required. Masters, MBA or an advanced degree, preferred
Strong inspirational leadership and motivational skills with the ability to effectively manage high performing staff and management teams
Strong communication skills, including outstanding presentation and persuasion capabilities, including the ability to effectively convey complex, sensitive issues and communicate to a variety of audiences including technical staff, peers, as well as senior management, and oversight bodies
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with the appropriate level of judgment, discretion, and maturity
Demonstrates mutual respect, embraces diversity, and acts with authenticity
