Grants Administrator / Program Impact Evaluator | Association (Finance)
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Grants Administrator/Program Impact Evaluator is responsible for researching and soliciting grants from foundations, corporations, and other public funding sources that fit the goals and objectives of the YMCA. This position collaborates with organization leadership and staff to explore funding needs, develop solicitation strategies, structure and write proposals, develop collateral materials, and manage reporting. The position develops and maintains effective working relationships with granting sources and follows up with grantors to determine and monitor grant status, providing stewardship efforts to sustain funding.
The Grants Administrator/Program Impact Evaluator also plays a key role in identifying, gathering, analyzing, and reporting data that measure outcomes and success of YMCA programs. The position provides recommendations to senior leadership to improve service delivery, staff performance, and program outcomes. This position critically assesses collected data, creating analytics to be shared with the board, funding sources, community partner and others to share the impact of Y programming. As an integral member of the Mission Advancement Team, this position will also participate in other events, fundraising activities and meetings as necessary.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Research grant opportunities to identify funding sources that align with organizational initiatives and priorities. Outline and communicate funding requirements and explain procedures for funding attainment.
Prepare, write and coordinate grant application process, working with applicable departments, to ensure an accurate reflection of deliverables and a timely submission of grant application materials.
Provide administration for the grants process throughout all stages including receiving, assessing, tracking, payment/check requests, documenting all inquiries and/or proposals, assuring submitted documentation meets legal and organizational requirements, and maintain all grant documentation, records, reporting and evaluation.
Monitor grant funded programs to ensure program facilitation meets grant requirements, including obtaining periodic reports from program staff, managing follow up schedules and deadlines, and monitoring to make sure all requirements are met.
Develop and manage a master grants and program evaluation cycle calendar accessible to leadership staff team members.
Working with senior leadership and program leaders, develop and implement a sustainable program evaluation process focused on identifying areas of impact, collecting relevant data and measuring outcomes.
Develop data collection protocol, compile data, conduct data analysis and prepare organizational results that will be shared with the board, the community and current/potential funding sources
Draft written reports, prepare presentations and effectively communicate evaluation process and findings with a focus on identifying areas of success and areas of improvement for programs.
Provide training to staff on program evaluation areas, including the results of data analysis of program outcomes.
Develop, evaluate and monitor quality improvement initiatives throughout the organization.
Prepare case statements, needs assessment, outcome and program evaluations to ensure all grant objectives are met.
Supports the organization's finance and communication functions by generating requested information, data, and reports as needed.
Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor or designated staff person.
Demonstrate and support the objectives of the Association as embodied in the mission statement and values.
