General Purpose

The Regional Director of Therapy Services is responsible for overseeing multiple facility rehabilitation programs across different states, both in-house and contract therapy providers. This role includes mentoring Directors of Rehabilitation, ensuring compliance with Medicare guidelines, and implementing new programs and procedures from regulatory changes.

Essential Duties:

  • Conduct facility visits as needed to support operations and program management.
  • Mentor Directors of Rehabilitation and staff to ensure appropriate patient utilization and treatment options.
  • Review EMR and Point Right to ensure strict compliance with Medicare guidelines.
  • Attend CSR and triple check meetings.
  • Assist with mock surveys and state surveys when needed.
  • Support administrators in achieving results.
  • Complete audits as requested by the QA and Compliance Audit Director.
  • Reinforce best practices and standardized testing.
  • Interface with other regional personnel to promote standardization across the region.
  • Identify opportunities within facilities for new programs (e.g., therapy wound care).
  • Support facilities with probes, CERTs, ADRs, and ALJs.
  • Report any concerns with compliance or lack of adherence to company best practices to the QA and Compliance Audit Director.
  • Provide clinical instruction to therapy staff.
  • Support administrators with the evaluation of Directors of Rehabilitation when requested.
  • Assist with the conversion of contract programs to in-house programs.
  • Assist with RNA training.
  • Provide recommendations to supervisors for opportunities to improve the company.
  • Travel by car and/or plane as necessary to reach assigned destinations in a reasonable time frame.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company and patient information.
  • Identify new sources of business and contacts.
  • Promote a positive attitude towards coworkers and the company, its mission statement, philosophies, and goals.
  • Hold therapists and directors accountable with PIPs and POCs when necessary.
  • Inspire others to elevate their level of commitment.
  • Complete ongoing education with follow-up in-service to the appropriate audience on new material.
  • Consult with administrators regarding therapy programs.

Supervisory Requirements:

  • Supervise Directors of Rehabilitation and Staff Therapists at the discretion of Administrators and Regional Directors of Operations

Qualification Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and/or Speech Language Pathology.

• Prefer graduates of Masters or Doctorate Program in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and /or Speech Language Pathology.

• Proficient in computer skills such as inputting data into programs such as Casamba and Point Click Care.

• Prefer prior regional experience and interaction with QS, AR, HR, and legal leads.

• Prefer RAC-CT Credential.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• Licensed as a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist and or Speech Language Therapist in the state.

• Employee must meet continue education requirements per state practices.

• Must maintain a license in good standing at all time with the state board. • CPR certification
