Communications & Marketing Associate, Institutional (Finance)
MAJOR DUTIES
• Manages business unit intranet sites and communications team mailbox. Reviews and approves content submissions to ensure partners are following guidelines and best practices. Responds to internal partners requests for information in a timely manner.
• Provides metrics tracking for both internal communications and marketing initiatives, including data aggregation, cleansing and manipulation, and development of presentations to share insights and action items to a variety of groups (team members, management, business stakeholders, etc.).
• Creates and distributes communication materials for a variety of business unit needs, including weekly newsletter, messages from executives, marketing notices, strategic organizational announcements, etc.
• Creates and maintains templates used for a variety of communications needs, maintains content on a variety of internal systems (including SharePoint and other Microsoft 365 apps), supports partners globally with communications-related needs.
• Coordinates large internal group meetings (including virtual) for the business unit's senior leaders, including managing invitations, room and A/V logistics, serving as onsite/technical support during meetings, sending follow-up communications, and providing post-event metrics.
• Responsible for coordinating multiple communication or marketing projects. Assists with setting project objectives, determining priorities and timeframes, identifying and resolving problems, and monitoring and reporting on results.
• Serves as key subject matter expert for communications and marketing administration tasks and tools.
• Provides additional team support as directed by manager.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
• Ability to work individually and collaboratively with others on projects, taking ownership of tasks to see them to completion and seeking guidance when necessary.
• Exceptionally organized, strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Google Analytics/Data Studio experience a plus.
• Technically savvy with strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint and Excel); Webex, ON24, or other conferencing tools and SharePoint experience a plus.
• Easily adaptable with ability to manage competing and changing priorities. Must be able to take initiative to overcome obstacles and take on new tasks/responsibilities.
• Excellent communicator with solid writing and editing skills for development and presentation of marketing and communications materials.
• Ability to work effectively and professionally with internal clients, vendors, management and staff.
• Knowledge of marketing/communications best practices, usually acquired through experience or course work, is recommended.
EXPERIENCE
• A bachelor's degree in marketing or communications. 2-3 years of communications or marketing or related industry experience is recommended.
