Contract Director, National Accounts (Finance)
A Day in the Life
Leads National and Strategic Accounts contracting team that supports the US Market Sales teams across the Neuroscience, Medical Surgical and Cardiovascular portfolios. Contracting Director is responsible for driving consistency and performance excellence across the contracting team. This team is responsible for all aspects of the contracting lifecycle; specifically, the team develops, administers and manages contracts for all national accounts, GPO's and strategic accounts. Conducts proposal preparation, supports contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. Prepares bids; processes specifications, progress, and other reports; advises management of contractual rights and obligations; compiles and analyzes data; and maintains historical information. This leader will work closely with the VP of National Accounts and the VP's of Strategic accounts and their direct reports.

FUNCTIONING FACTORS
PEOPLE LEADERSHIP OF REGIONAL CONTRACT MANAGER (RCM) Team.: This position is responsibility for leading a team of geographically dispersed individuals performing the same contracting activities aligned to US Market sales teams within the Americas Region. Most of the time is spent overseeing their area of responsibility, managing performance, developing talent, engagement and inclusion, communicating business and operational developments, planning, prioritizing and / or directing the responsibilities of direct reports. Goal achievement is accomplished through performance of direct and / or indirect reports. Key responsibilities of this role include: setting a common vision for the newly integrated team, developing strategic priorities and plans for the team, accountability for mentoring, developing and coaching staff on meeting/exceeding performance expectations and defined objectives, providing leadership to staff ensuring the prioritization of strategic and department level initiatives to include defining performance goals and targets, conducting performance reviews, and staff 1:1s to guide performance management and employee development efforts and manage toward departmental goals.

Determines supervisory relationships, and creates workforce and staffing plans to accomplish business results.
Authorizes hiring, firing, promotion and reward within own area.
