Primary Purpose: To function in a role as a professional transport paramedic that will provide care in the out of hospital setting and serve as the primary care provider whose primary setting will be interfacility transports and on occasion first response. The transport paramedic will be required to provide care to patients ranging from infant to geriatric. This role will be expected to assess, plan, implement intervention, and evaluate the appropriate level of patient care according to the Ohio Paramedic Scope of Practice, Academy of Medicine of Cincinnati Southwest Ohio Protocols, Commission on Accreditation for Medical Transport Systems as well as organizational and departmental policies and procedures.Knowledge and Skills
Education: Active paramedic certificate
Years of Experience: One year of Emergency Medical Service experience as a Paramedic preferred. Intra-facility transport experience preferred
Required Skills and Knowledge:
License and Certification: Current Ohio Paramedic certifcation required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required upon hire.
Active, unrestricted Driver's License with no more than 4 accrued points.
