We are a seeking a passionate and skilled individual to take on an exciting opportunity as a Customer Service Representative II in our Supply Chain team, who will work primarily with international customers, internal colleagues, agents and freight forwarders to process all sales orders and customer inquiries as efficiently as possible.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Act as internal customer advocate and ensure overall customer satisfaction.
2. Work closely with other departments to ensure order fulfillment and on time delivery.
3. Receive and process both domestic and international orders for our customers and agents.
4. Work closely with the Goulston Purchasing Team and our freight forwarders to process OEM orders, per established processes.
5. Establish and maintain customer SOPs and all necessary documentation including records of customer interactions, transactions, pricing, recording details of inquiries, complaints, invoicing and shipping information.
6. Proactively participate in resolving customer concerns and complaints by obtaining and examining all relevant internal information as part of the investigation.
7. Proactively participate in continuous improvement activities and cost savings initiatives.
8. Act as a resource for other Goulston team members, including coordination of training sessions.
9. Work with Sales Team to maintain and update all pricing records within the Goulston ERP System.
10. Work closely with freight forwarders to provide our customers with the best combination of booking options and costs.
11. Suggest process improvements as needed.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
EXPERIENCE:
5+ years of related International Logistics and Customer Service experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as work instructions and financial materials. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers and others in the organization. Ability to write correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
