Policy & Planning Analyst - OIG (Finance)
At the FR-25 grade, bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university plus at least three years of audit, accounting, finance, or related experience. Knowledge of principles, theories, practices, and techniques of accounting, management, and auditing/inspecting/evaluating to assist with reviews of the Board's or the Bureau's programs and operations. General knowledge and skill to evaluate compliance with applicable laws and regulations, the adequacy of internal controls, and the operational efficiency and effectiveness of systems and activities. Proficiency in oral and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work independently, with some supervision, as well as with a team. Ability to obtain a Secret clearance and is subject to the Board's drug testing program. Prefer certification in one or more of the following: Certified Public Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Fraud Examiner, and/or Certified Information Systems Auditor.
In addition, at the FR-26 grade, bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university plus at least five years of audit, accounting, finance, or related experience. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work independently as well as with a team.
In addition, at the FR-27 grade, bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university plus at least seven years of audit, accounting, finance, or related experience. Expert knowledge of principles, theories, practices, and techniques of accounting, management, and auditing/inspecting/evaluating to assist with reviews of the Board's or the Bureau's programs and operations. Skilled at evaluating compliance with applicable laws and regulations, the adequacy of internal controls, and the operational efficiency and effectiveness of systems and activities. High degree of proficiency in oral and written communication skills.
