Primary Purpose: Responsible for implementing and supporting designated software applications utilized in Patient Financial Services/Revenue Cycle areas in accordance with departmental standards and procedures. Work as a liaison with IS&T and third party vendors to apply system functionality and upgrades, as well as testing and validation. Analyst will develop and generate reports utilizing a number of different applications. Analyst will also be responsible for analyzing the outcome of reports to maintain integrity and identify key strategic trends.Knowledge and Skills
Education: High school diploma, minimum required. Associate's degree in information systems or similar, preferred degree.
Years of Experience: Willing to certify, license or graduate within 12 months, minimum required. One-two years equivalent experience, minimum required. Three-five years, preferred.
License and Certification: E pic Hospital Billing and/or Epic Clarity Data Model (or current Epic equivalent) certification preferred within one year.
Required Skills and Knowledge: Experience in hospital revenue cycle operations.
Capable of maintaining general knowledge of systems utilized and integrated within the organization. Skilled in project process and facilitation of teams. Critical thinking skills with attention to detail. Proficiency in the use of various software applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Access. Effective oral and written communication skills. Customer service orientation and ability to function as an effective team member.
Preferred Skills and Knowledge: Epic system experience, along with Epic Clarity or other data warehouse reporting software, MS Access database / application building & maintenance, proficient in Excel, Crystal, Adobe Professional, ability to work with various types of files, delimited text, fixed width, etc.
