Altria Client Services' role is to provide high quality services to the Altria family of companies. We are currently seeking a highly qualified Associate Manager Purchasing to join our Procurement department in Richmond, VA. We are open to remote working arrangements. Specific accountabilities include: • Managing and accessing global supply chains supporting PM USA's ALCS core Tobacco portfolio. • Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to provide superior service and quality. • Supporting qualification of materials and suppliers for business contingency plans. • Consulting with internal clients and colleagues to understand supply chain needs and develop plans to meet them. • Monitoring supply chain performance of critical inputs, and proactively identify issues and trends that require action. • Effectively synthesizing and communicating information to address a broad range of questions related to supply chain management, supplier performance, and contracts. • Being a strategic thinking partner by integrating supply chain insights and business requirements to inform sourcing decisions. • Effectively leading cross-functional teams to investigate major strategic and business initiatives, including: cost management/productivity, quality and supply security and drive actionable results and business decisions. • Open to domestic and international travel up to 10% when needed. Specific Qualifications include: • Bachelor's Degree required. Graduate degree is preferred. • 6+ years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, management consulting or related experience preferred. • Applied supply chain experience in commodities, and wide awareness of "best in class" and new methodologies and approaches relevant to supply chain management. • Advanced problem solving, analytical and critical thinking skills, and the confidence to try new solutions driven by curiosity. • Ability to generate actionable insights into business recommendations. • Proficient with structuring and negotiating contracts. • Strong sourcing strategies to include onboarding new suppliers, as well as supplier management responsibilities. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Excellent interpersonal skills and the capability to build positive working relationships with colleagues, clients and key stakeholders. • Leadership presence and ability to interact across multiple organization levels. • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline driven, fast paced environment. • High level proficiency with SAP and MS Office applications.
