Experience as a corporate Grocery coordinator, background in category management or procurement
Oversee product selection and sourcing, pricing, ad and promotional planning for respective department(s)

Own all financial lines for the department(s) to include sales, delivered gross, gross profit, and shrink
Maintain budgets, forecasts, and plans; understand contribution to total enterprise and division goals by department at commodity level
Locate, negotiate, and manage vendor relationships to support strong product selection, pricing, and service
Create and communicate sales plans, department standards and inspired selling through printed merchandising plans and regular communication calls
Work with buyers, operations, warehousing, transportation, and vendors to resolve store issues and remove barriers that prohibit the stores from implementing the budgeted department sales plan
Develop formalized short and long-term department strategies and tactics that deliver a unified customer experience
Understand the competitive landscape within the division and implement necessary changes to support a strong customer experience
Conduct frequent and timely store visits and encourage valuable feedback from district, area, and store leadership and associates that provide opportunities to increase sales, profits, and improve shrink
Collaborate with corporate Merchandising on needs for the Ruler division
Monitor the daily/weekly reports to identify any product cost or transportation charge corrections
Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports
Ensure all impacted associates have a complete understanding of all aspects and functions of the department and its alignment with the company strategy
