In this role you will join a team of early educators on a remarkable at the newly opened Glen T. MacLeod YMCA Early Learning Center as we expand our reach in the community. As an Infant or Toddler teacher you will provide an environment rich for the nurturing and development of children. You will have an important role of introducing our families to the center and the kind of quality care the Y provides. On a regular day, you will support the needs of each child through a consistent daily schedule, implementing curriculum, and building social skills with peers. Infant and Toddler Teachers will have an overall focus on prioritizing the needs of the children while implementing policies and practices that ensure the well-being of our participants and follow local and state safety guidelines.
At the Y, classrooms are newly furnished with access to developmentally appropriate and recommended teaching tools and materials. Our new center is filled with natural light, creative learning spaces, newly designed playground areas for outdoor exploration, and multiple enrichment programs including swimming, gymnastics, sports, and more! With strong and abundant curriculum resources, staff are sure to feel supported and inspired. Teachers at our Early Learning Center are consistent, accountable, and communicate effectively with parents and staff. To thrive in this role, you must have a strong understanding of the growth and development of children, the ability to work independently and lead a scheduled curriculum, and the desire to be part of a small team of passionate educators.
