Position Overview
Epiq Global is seeking an experienced Epiq and/or eDiscovery colleague to manage the selection, ongoing governance, and deprecation for the Legal Solutions client-facing technology portfolio, focused on legacy and 3rd party software.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated ability to manage and coordinate enterprise-level initiatives across multiple functions in a heavily matrix-managed environment. The role spans strategic and tactical responsibilities including understanding broad business initiatives and the implications for the software, user requirements, continuous improvement / business process improvement priorities, and aligning the product roadmaps with multiple stakeholders in order to optimize the overall LS technology solution footprint (on-prem and cloud-based) for effectiveness, total cost of ownership (licensing, support, etc.), security, etc. This position will interact with the Transformation Office, IT, Procurement, Client Services, Operations, Development, Continuous Improvement, Finance, and other groups – all requiring strong communication, facilitation skills, and operational discipline to achieve our business objectives.
Essential Functions and Job Scope
Manage the process for sunsetting legacy applications, working with Client Services, Operations, IT and Development teams to execute. The scop
Scope of sunsetting efforts to include migration of all active/billable matters to active platforms, Client messaging, ensure all matter data is deleted and hardware decommissioned
Own the process of determining the client-facing LS 3rd party application roadmap, working with stakeholder decision-makers to confirm their required product capabilities across the business lines
Identify and document the selection criteria for the decision to sunset legacy solutions from the Epiq tech stack
Identify and document the selection criteria for the decision to add a new solution to the Epiq tech stack, with the objective of standardizing the entire LS solution set
Establish and ensure that governance for adding new solutions is in place; make sure any new application need is identified early and surfaced for review by the appropriate parties; ensure the current Epiq solution is well documented, understood, has been presented to client, and any feature / functionality gaps vs. the client's requested solution are documented for product management
Collect the required information to do a cost-benefit analysis and review the analysis with stakeholder decision-makers. Participate in all event management calls
Confirm we have the SOPs in place to cover where costs go, how invoicing happens, how reconciliation happens, how sunsetting happens
Establish the guidelines under which Epiq brings in a new solution: who holds or manages the license; in what environments; in what cost center will costs be allocated; how will client invoicing happen; how ill cost to revenue reconciliation happen; when is the solution's fit revisited (e.g. client-specific requests); etc.
Work with Procurement and Finance to document key solution information including licensing costs, contract timing, etc. Coordinate the steps and timing for transitioning between proprietary and 3rd party software
Document and communicate client-facing 3rd party application roadmap, including version updates accessible by all Epiq colleagues
Potentially own select 3rd party partner relationships
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience in facilitating conversations and creating deliverables with the mix of stakeholders across all functions.
Qualifications and Skills
Demonstrated knowledge of the ediscovery market
5+ years' experience managing enterprise-level product roadmaps and programs in a highly matrix-managed environment
Experience rolling out new standard operating procedures; able to effortlessly and actively communicate with business and technical stakeholders and other functional areas.
Ideal candidate will have experience with products hosted in public and private clouds
Excellent collaboration, verbal and written communication, analytical and organizational skills.
Ability to effectively influence and drive multiple projects in a fast paced & dynamic environment under tight timelines.
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Operations #LI-RC1
