Ascend Learning is hiring now for a Director Portfolio Management that will report into our VP of Ascend Learning's Technology & Operations PMO. This role drives the management and evolution of enterprise-wide solutions aligned to product strategy and roadmaps supporting the Agile delivery of work tied to organizational objectives. This individual must maintain highly collaborative partnerships with key business leaders to manage and facilitate the portfolio of prioritized work and the evolution of cross-business unit technical solutions. As a strategic partner to the business, they will provide expertise and facilitate IT support in strategic visioning, work alignment and decomposition of initiatives.
They will also function as a technology consultant to the business by having deep expertise in the business functions and technologies within their portfolio. The position balances their time at a strategic level against the ability to direct program initiatives delivered by project managers. They gain a thorough understanding of the business need, solution design, product roadmap and tactical work execution in order to report overall portfolio health and manage risks. This role provides strategic cross-functional support in the removal of program and project roadblocks.
