Job Summary:
FLIR is hiring a DevOps engineer to bring our existing software development team to the next level by administering on-premises DevOps/QA hardware to test and validate software and hardware. FLIR is growing quickly, and automated testing and validation is critical in scalability and sustainability.
The preferred candidate will be comfortable with configuration management, basic Linux system administration, version control systems, containerization, and CI/CD principals. The specific toolchain is flexible, but familiarity with Jenkins/Git/Docker/Ansible are expected. They will also be comfortable with scripting languages like Bash, Python or Perl to design tests to evaluate various software components. The ability to break other people's code is greatly desired!
A familiarity with C/C++ and Python is a plus, as many FLIR software components are created in those languages.
As FLIRs hardware quantities scale, the preferred candidate will help create software tools to assist production teams with validating hardware before delivery. Experience with troubleshooting hardware communications (RS232/SPI/I2C) a big plus!
