RN - Inpatient - Acute Medical Progressive - 90% FTE, Evening/Night - University Hospital (8546) (Healthcare)
D6/5 is a highly acute, medical unit that offers challenging and rewarding nursing opportunities.
We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Acute Medical and Progressive Care Unit:
Education:
Minimum - Graduate of a baccalaureate, associate or diploma nursing school
Preferred - Baccalaureate degree in nursing
Work Experience:
Minimum - One (1) year relevant clinical experience
Preferred - Critical care or IMC training
Licenses and Certifications:
Minimum - Registration as a professional nurse in the State of Wisconsin, CPR
Preferred – ACLS
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
· Knowledge regarding quality improvement and standards of care within practice area.
· Experience in teaching patients and families.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Ability to effectively delegate and supervise the work of other nursing team members.
Physical Requirements:
Medium: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
Work Schedule: 90%, 36 hours. Evening/Night with shifts between the hours of 1900-730, 2300-730, and 1500-2330, with every other weekend rotation. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.
