Power Estimator - Power TEO Specialist (Finance)
SUMMARY Provides site-specific detail order preparation and quotes based on site evaluations in telecommunications DC and AC power project environments. This level requires minimal assistance from Supervising Engineer and/or Senior Engineer to complete complex TEO engineering projects from start to finish. Previous experience and education must be demonstrated and is required for this position. Provides the response to customer and estimates, engineering, installation, and material cost. Designs and estimates E.F.I. costs for RBOCs, CLEC, Utilities, and municipalities. Responsible for responding to customer RFQ and orders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: other duties may be assigned.
Customer interface for the company; including updating customer databases
Pricing
Scheduling
Order preparations using both internal and customer applications
Assists field installers and other engineers in technical areas as needed
Possible tracking of material
Providing input in budget development
Tracking/controlling revenues
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 5 years experience with current Central office power application product specifications and product applications, including adjuncts to existing equipment
Proficient with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Customer Specific Applications
Think critically and problem solve
Handle confidential/sensitive information with discretion
Good judgment
Organizational skills
Customer service skills
Skilled in basic AC/DC electrical mathematics and National Electric Code Standards
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Electrical Engineering Technology 2-year Associates degree or equivalent formal electrical training.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical specifications, drawings, financial reports and legal documents.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio and percent. DC circuit analysis proficiency using Ohms law, Kirchhoff's law is required.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as: discounts, markup, margin, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume; ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
