Sr Project Engineer - Aircraft Wheels & Brakes (Finance)

You will collaborate across Honeywell Aerospace engineering teams to create solutions and systems that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will participate in all phases of product development and will be part of a group of talented professionals who's expertise ensures the success of engineering projects and programs.

US PERSON REQUIREMENT:
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorizationYOU MUST HAVE:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
• Previous Product Design or New Product Introduction Experience
• 7+ years of project and development engineering experience

WE VALUE:
• Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering Field, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred
• 10+ years of project and development engineering experience
• 7+ years of engineering experience with direct customer interaction or support.
• Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or forced to by events.
• Ability to convey subtle or complex messages clearly, as appropriate for the topic and audience.
• Ability to create and communicate solutions to complex technical challenges
• Business acumen and knowledge of current and emerging practices, methods, and information relevant to the aerospace industry and project management
• Ability to consistently make timely decisions while balancing systematic analysis with decisive decision making, even in the face of complexity
• Abilit to influence team members to accept ownership of tasks to ensure delivery of aggressive timelines
• Experience with Aerospace product development practicesKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Daily use of technical project management and cost accounting tools
• Technical leadership support for critical development projects including Military and Commercial applications to ensure cost performance and schedule performance is maintained of critical projects
• Mentorship and development of training materials for junior engineers
• Cross-departmental collaboration to streamline efficiency on critical development projects
• Evaluating existing designs/processes for improvements in cost, quality, and producibility
