Location: Iron Station, NC

Job Type: Full-Time

Shift: Night Shift

Schedule: 11pm-7am Sun-Thurs

Pay Range: Starting pay $19.00/hr, Top pay $24.25/hr

Position Summary

Timken is seeking a dedicated and skilled Quality Control to join our team. In this role you will perform quality control functions on production equipment and audit quality of product for conformance to specifications. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety and quality standards and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Uses gauges and masters to test equipment according to written procedures.
  • Visually inspects products for defects and conformance.
  • Approves setup pieces for production of bearing components for assigned machine operations.
  • Re-inspects finished product for conformance to visual and dimensional specifications.
  • Verifies correctness of cone and roller sizes prior to assembly by comparing tags.
  • Performs required recordkeeping such as filling out various forms and inspection reports.
  • Logs scrap and repair entries in shop floor system.
  • Follows all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.


Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Must be willing to work overtime.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience as a Quality Control or similar role within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working with gauges and masters.
  • Mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine operation.
  • Ability to read and interpret specifications, acceptance criteria and engineered drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
