Job Designation/Job Core Responsibilities

The Range Designer will develop project/architectural design drawings, specific product configuration packages and work with Program Managers to provide support to customer's (A&E) design process.

Specifically, this Includes creating drawings, compiling submittal packages, conducting construction take-off (from plan and spec.), specifications/requirements review. The successful candidate will also maintain product and component design packages, including creating and managing Engineering Change Notifications (ECNs).

He or she will work with Sales, Business Development and Program Managers to develop concept and proposal drawings and provide pertinent design inputs to customer's (AE) design process. Other special projects will be assigned as required by the business.

Required Skills

  • High proficiency of current version AutoCAD software
  • Ability to understand and interpret architectural drawings
  • Proficient in use of MS Office products (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Ability to accurately estimate effort and duration required to create drawing packages
  • Ability to self-direct to meet project requirements/milestones
  • Ability to compile accurate and complete submittal packages
  • Mechanical/design aptitude
  • Ability to travel (10-25%)

Desirable Skills

  • Proficiency using current version of REVIT software
  • Proficiency using any recent version of Creo/ProEngineer software

Education/Experience

Associates degree (or higher) in mechanical drafting or related experience. We require 3-5+ years of experience with a degree or 5-7+ years of experience without a degree.
