Combustion Turbine Technician (Sarpy County Station) (Finance)
Summary:
Perform assigned functions necessary for the proper, safe and efficient operation and maintenance of equipment at the District's Peaking Stations and other District facilities as workload dictates.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform orderly operation of generating units and equipment at the Peaking Stations, establish proper clearance of equipment for safe, event-free maintenance activities, troubleshoot and correct equipment and systems deficiencies, and perform work associated with maintenance and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
2. Routinely act as lead person in coordinating crew activities.

Required:
Environment:
Field: Work will be performed outside in a wide variety of weather conditions (snow, rain, heat, cold, wind, etc.), terrain, and other natural environmental hazards as well as pollen and other airborne allergens. Work will be performed in construction areas that present many physical hazards.
Generation Plant: Work will be performed inside with exposure to industrial building conditions and will be exposed to extreme temperatures, odors, dusts, gases, poor ventilation and exposure to sounds. Noise levels may require shouting in order to be heard. Work will be performed around energies voltage electrical equipment. Work will be performed in closed or confined spaces.
Physical Demands:
Must demonstrate physical fitness required to perform the essential functions of the job. Must be capable of performing moderately strenuous work, meet established requirements related to color differentiation and utilization of respiratory protection equipment, and be able to adapt to varying work conditions (heat, cold, dust, etc.). Must be physically capable of climbing up and down vertical ladders, working in enclosed spaces. Must be able to perform frequent walking, squatting, bending, reaching overhead and pulling, lifting more than 50 pounds.

Hourly Rate: $49.11/hour
