Roadhouse Server / Event Server (Finance)
Our performance expectations are:
Essential Functions:
Arrives on time for all shifts, meetings, and classes.
Follows the 3 Steps to great service and the 5 Steps to handling a customer complaint.
Speaks knowledgeably and accurately about all menu items, including core and special menu items, coffees and barista drinks, all tap beers, wine glass pours, "classic cocktails," and house liquors.
Reviews menu and 86 lists each shift for updates.
Participates in weekly specials presentations or, if excused from the presentation, takes responsibility for reviewing notes and menu updates.
develops familiarity with current POS system, and correctly enters orders.
Competently pairs menu items with wines and beers.
Uses Roadhouse systems for collecting, communicating, and connecting D.O.T.S.
Maintains a clean dining room and service stations.
Follows Roadhouse systems for wine service.
Seeks manager/supervisor assistance with guests when appropriate.
Accurately takes and delivers guests' orders using Zingerman's 4 Steps to Order Accuracy.
Must be able to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to balance and carry a tray with drinks and/or dishes.
Must be able to walk up and down stairs
Must be able available to start work at 6 am Mon-Fri and be flexible in schedule.
Other Functions:
Follows the training compact and takes responsibility for his or her training.
Attends and participates in weekly huddles and/or takes responsibility for knowing Roadhouse key measures and numbers.
Follows the staff member guidelines outlined in our Roadie Handbook
Follows the Roadhouse table maintenance systems for marking, pre-bussing, setting, etc.
Documents all code reds and code greens.
Takes initiative to help in other areas of the Roadhouse as needed.
The Success Patterns for this position are:
Has at least two years of experience as a server in a high-end service environment.
Has a reputation for excellent relations with guests and front and back of house staff.
Has worked effectively as part of a team.
Has successfully managed guest's dining experience in a fast-paced environment.

Can work long shifts that require standing/walking/bending/lifting throughout shift

Has reliable transportation
Serves food and beverages carrying large, heavy trays
Sets up and tears down events including tables, chairs, place settings, linens, buffets
Stocks and replenishes food stations/buffet tables
Assists bartenders as needed, including serving beer and wine on occasion
Busses tables and works to keep guest spaces clean and tidy
