Job Summary: The Cashier contributes to the success of the team by efficiently organizing and managing to-go orders at Restoration Pizza. This position provides a positive and courteous experience to every guest that they interact with, whether in-person or over the phone. Essential Functions & Responsibilities Enthusiastically represent the Bosque Brewing Co. brand, beverages, and company values by engaging in positive gestures of respect, courtesy and kindness to internal and external guests consistent with Bosque Brewing Co. values and expectations.Display a sense of urgency and attention to detail by anticipating the guests needs and responding appropriately.Take, package, and tender to-go orders. Answer the phone with the proper greeting and maintaining polite and courteous telephone etiquette.Assist guests make informed ordering choices.Quote accurate pick-up/waiting times to guests. Proactively inform management when pick-up/waiting times are over times quoted to guests.Execute guest orders with great attention to detail to ensure correct orders and requests for single-use tableware are notated. Clearly and efficiently communicate with the kitchen to clarify orders when needed.Greet to-go guests and make them feel welcomed. May assist guests to their car with large food orders.Prepare and package to-orders with appropriate single-use tableware. Proactively check every to-go order for quality and accuracy before giving to customer. Receive payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, gift cards, or automatic debits. Operates cash register to accurately maintain cash balance. Issues receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers.Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change.Maintain an accurate account of coupons, cash, promos, vouchers and credits. Maintain knowledge about our food menu, including specific ingredients that are commonly associated with either food allergies or specific dietary needs.May assist FOH coworkers in accommodating special needs of guests, i.e., boosters, highchairs, etc.Maintains a clean and organized work area and completes side work and/or cleaning as assigned by the General Manager. Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the to-go counter.Independently identify issues that may directly affect the quality of the guests experience. Inform management of all guest issues or complaints.Assist FOH co-workers in following the Bosque Brewing Co. steps of service throughout the entire guest experience at the location, including but not limited to: May assist Food Runners in delivering food to tables, ensuring guests have all appropriate condiments and utensils, refill beverages as needed.Clean tables, taking plates, utensils and drinkware to the kitchen or appropriate area to be washed, and reset tables for the next service. Maintain a clean, friendly and welcoming environment, specifically responsible for maintaining cleanliness and properly stocked items in both the FOH, BOH, office (common coworker areas), and storage areas. Responsible for completing opening/closing duties and side work as assigned. Regularly empty trash, mop floors, and other assorted cleaning duties for FOH and BOH areas as assigned. Complete miscellaneous cleaning projects.Clean and stock restrooms, leaving the conditions of restrooms ready for the next shift.Spot sweep taproom/restaurant on an as needed basis throughout service. Keep the dining room floor clean and free of excess debris/liquids at all times. Clean up accidental spillage or breakage.Stock all condiments and side stations to maintain prescribed par stock levels. Change and/or refresh condiments on an as needed basis.Update beer logs and beer boards with specialty beers.Washing glassware using proper techniques. May assist management in performing inventory, including merchandise, beer, glassware, and keg inventory by the specified deadline.Assist the management with events, such as, birthday, special events, and caterings.Ensure communication is passed across the organization from management to every coworker in the location.May assist management in developing and maintaining functional procedures, work instructions, and training checklists related to position duties.Complies with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.Supports coworkers and departments with tasks and project-based work. Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Must be 21 years of age or older.High school Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience is required.Minimum of six (6) months of experience in the hospitality or food & beverage industry required. Previous brewery or craft beer experience preferred.Ability to work as a team and in a fast-paced environment with high expectations, multiple tasks, and changing conditions. The ability to think on your feet and adapt, flexibility is key.Ability to interact professionally, with civility, and effectively with coworkers and the general public. Must possess solid interpersonal skills and team orientation.Must possess basic financial skills. Proven ability to process financial transactions, make and count correct change, and balance cash drawers.Ability to track inventory using a spreadsheet and perform basic data entry with strict attention to detail.Working knowledge of reservation and POS systems.Excellent written and verbal communication skills (in English) with the ability to effectively listen to and understand others. Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) is preferred. Ability to read and follow schedules, menus, SOPs and policies. Ability to present self in a professional, pleasant, and well-groomed manner.Ability to move kegs and operate a hand truck.Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.Ability to possess and maintain a valid Food Handler Card and New Mexico Alcohol Server License. First Aid and/or CPR Certified preferred.Ability to adhere to company and department rules, policies and procedures.
