Sr Digital/Social Media Strategy Specialist (Finance)

The Peripheral Vascular Health (PVH) Operating Unit within the Cardiovascular Portfolio is seeking an experienced, highly motivated individual who has a passion for digital and social media strategy with a demonstrated track record of developing, implementing, managing, analyzing and optimizing successful social media channels, campaigns, strategies, and programs. This role has been created due to strong business growth and exciting new communication opportunities emerging in the medical device space, reporting to the leader of PVH Marketing Communications.

As a key member of the Marketing team, you will be responsible for leading the social media practice across PVH. In this role, you will develop and execute social media strategies, plans, and content for the PVH Operating Unit. The ideal candidate must be able to use their in-depth understanding of content marketing and analytics to develop social initiatives that will elevate digital presence and communication with healthcare providers and patients, and ultimately impact sales.

You will work directly with colleagues and cross-functional partners in Marketing Communication, Product Marketing, Executive Communications, and Medical Education to define and activate sophisticated campaigns, define KPI's and campaign goals, and develop campaign tracking and reporting strategies in conjunction with our Global, Digital, Social Media (GDSM) analytics teams that will drive business decisions and optimize the conversion experiences for all Medtronic audiences. The Social/Digital Media Specialist will represent the business and would be responsible for aligning digital strategy and initiatives with our overall marketing & sales organization, globally.

A Day in the Life:

  • Develop and/or execute the optimal social strategy for integrated communications plans
  • Work with key stakeholders to develop content pillars and maintain a master schedule for social media and other digital communication programs (eblasts, content capsules, sponsored content, e-newsletters, microsites, etc.) across PVH
  • Be the PVH social media expert on strategy, policy, and procedures in accordance with the most current regulations and guidelines
  • Develop and implement detailed channel plans including requirements, scope, deliverables, key milestones, timeline, resources and budget - as well as gain necessary buy-in from key stakeholders
  • Partner with internal digital specialists and external agencies and digital vendors to execute plans and tactical deliverables (all media components and media plans for shared/paid/earned and owned channels)
  • Manage social media buy and placement strategy including scheduling and planning content with Marcom teams, maximizing exposure, optimize awareness and engagement strategies, manage and report performance metrics, etc.
  • Track metrics and maximize the productivity of all social activity
  • Identify and vet new technologies, proposals and vendors for digital channel initiatives to increase customer engagement and interaction with our solutions
  • Keep up to date on the latest SEO, PPC strategies and technologies and assist in improving solution offerings
  • Proactively provide strategic recommendations applicable to business models, expectations, and goals
  • Work with other digital team members to ensure syncing relevant updating/coordinating of website content in concert with social/digital programs and annual content calendar
  • Work with digital marketing partners across SBUs and geographies to maximize and integrate efforts and budgets

    Must Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 4 years marketing communications or communications experience with focus on social media planning, content, and channels (2 years with Advanced Degree)
  • Experience with multiple social channels and strategies including paid, organic, thought leadership, etc.
  • Experience developing and executing project work plans and content/editorial calendars
  • Experience working with information architecture and content design teams
  • Microsoft Office Suite, digital analytical programs/software experience i.e., Google Analytics

    Nice to Have:

  • Advanced Degree helpful
  • Social marketing work experience within an Agency or Healthcare industry company
  • Experience creating content in a highly regulated industry
  • Experience with Webmaster tools, keyword research tools, ranking tools, PPC program management tools, and multivariable A/B testing
  • Strategic mindset and proven ability to execute Business-to-Business Marketing Experience (Preferable Healthcare)
  • Consumer Marketing on Non-Transactional Websites (Preferable Healthcare)
  • Experience with developing objectives, work plans and metrics that are aligned with business objectives
  • Working knowledge of HTML, ASP, JavaScript, Flash and Adobe; understanding of Responsive Design; Adobe Experience Manager (AEM
