Credit Analyst, Business Banking (Finance)

The Business Banking Credit Analyst is responsible for analyzing commercial, business, and/or personal financial data collected for the purpose of issuing, extending, amending, reviewing, monitoring, and testing commercial credit facilities. Responsibilities include spreading customer financial data, assigning risk ratings, and completing credit presentations for approval, all in compliance with company and regulatory lending guidelines.

What You'll Do

  • Analyze commercial credit requests of varying complexity and including credit and financial information of businesses and individuals to determine the degree of risk associated with the extension of credit.

  • Prepare and conduct Credit Approval Presentations (CAPs) including summarizing and reporting trends and presentation to Bank's Credit Committee.

  • Communicate directly with Relationship and Portfolio Managers as well as customers, as needed, to allow for timely and efficient underwriting of credit requests.

  • Engage in process for completing due diligence relative to real estate related transactions, which may include ordering appraisals, environmental reports, performing internal evaluations, and collateral analyses.

  • Responsible for loan monitoring and covenant testing requirements; assist in the closing of loans and reviewing and maintaining credit files and compliance reviews.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or economics

  • 0-2 years' commercial credit/underwriting experience

  • Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills along with the ability to proactively manage and prioritize workflow

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with nCino platform a plus

  • Formal Credit training

Compensation

The estimated salary range for this role is $50,000-$77,000, along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate's qualifications, skills and experience.
