Global Sourcing Manager (Finance)

• Basic understanding of various manufacturing processes (i.e. metal forming, casting, molding, machining, assembly, finishing, etc.)
Essential Functions:
• Find, suggest, manage and drive multiple supply chain optimization and sourcing projects to drive company initiatives for product rationalization, cost savings and supplier performance.
• Perform Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis to aid in the sourcing selection and make versus buy decisions.
• Facilitate and lead sourcing initiatives and supplier negotiations to support Purchase Price Variance (PPV) activities.
• Identify and build cost savings pipeline opportunities and implementation strategies.
• Establish / lead the development of a robust Supplier Management Program
o Perform supplier qualification and/or recommend suppliers for disqualification using risk-based criteria
o Manage a Supplier Performance Review process and monitor ongoing supplier performance
o Lead annual supplier risk assessments to determine supplier audits, create and monitor schedule for the year; perform audits as lead auditor, generate audit reports.
o Collect and maintain supplier performance metrics and present to Colson management team.
o Champion problem solving and root cause analysis activities with suppliers
• Develop and implement strategies to improve supplier productivity/quality, and ensure supply chain continuity.
• Work with suppliers on process improvements and recommendations to decrease manufacturing costs.
• Facilitate or participate in root cause problem investigation and resolution through design prevention
• Interact with all levels of management, including senior management and suppliers to support strategic direction, operational and quality goals.
• Analyze and track category/commodity spend to reduce overall spend.
