Job Description:
The Compliance Analyst performs control testing and compliance assessment functions related to various compliance programs across the organization. This role also supports Compliance Team activities including identifying risks, determining plans for remediation, and actively participating in the development and adoption of the corporate policies, standards, controls and procedures across the global organization. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Compliance Analyst must have a baseline understanding of compliance program structures as well as experience working across common business processes, technologies, and security considerations. The Compliance Analyst will possess strong written and oral communication skills as a key part of this position will be working with business and functional associates across the organization as well as external partners and clients. Key responsibilities include:
Performs compliance assessments to determine if business systems are aligned with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and leading practices and to internal policy and procedures.
Implements programs, policies, and practices to ensure that all business units are in compliance with applicable contractual, federal, state, and local regulatory requirements
Maintains policies and procedures to foster a culture that supports and exhibits a commitment to Governance, Risk & Compliance, and Information Security best practices.
Collaborates with key stakeholders to validate, verify and address audit findings, control deficiencies and remediation plans.
Supports external audits by identifying requirements, communicating deliverables needed, collecting data, tracking progress and delivering results
Supports client audits and RFP processes by identifying requirements, communicating deliverables needed, collecting data, tracking progress and delivering results
Reports on status of compliance activities and remediation efforts.
Support implementation of educational training programs to ensure associates are knowledgeable about the Compliance Programs and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements governing operational activities
Develops and maintains relationships with internal and external customers to advance compliance initiatives and programs across the organization
Liaison for 3rd party auditors
Job Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS An individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required:
Baseline understanding of technical infrastructure and architecture of computer systems and related security considerations
General understanding of governance practices and internal control application across processes, operations, and technology components
Familiarity with common compliance frameworks (i.e. ISO, NIST, HIPAA, FISMA, etc.)
Exceptional interpersonal skills; able to interface with all levels within a complex company
Able to maintain high standards of confidentiality and professionalism
Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects and balance commitments / deadlines
Strong written and oral communication skills, including ability to conduct interviews as well as draft clear and concise reports and written communications
Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree strongly desired
Minimum 1-2 years professional experience
Experience with audit and control assessment processes and tools preferred
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Periodic travel is required of this position – with an average expectation of 15% travel
Ability to travel domestically and internationally
