An excellent career opportunity is currently available for a Sr R&D Tech within UOP's R&D Catalysis Fundamentals and Applications Research Group located in Des Plaines, IL. This position provides a unique opportunity to support catalyst synthesis for catalyst development projects, prepare extruded materials, and collaborate with other R&D departments to accelerate catalyst discovery.
The annual base salary range for this position is $63,500 - $79,300. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare catalyst materials through a variety of impregnation techniques
- Support extrusions of catalyst materials at a laboratory bench scale
- Prepare and submit samples for various analytical, chemical analyses, and pilot plant testing
- Maintain laboratory equipment and materials inventory, and coordinate with vendors for service requests
- Communicate with stakeholders to keep them informed and balance project requests
- Be an active participant in digitization efforts for catalyst data storage
- Participate in all departmental safety activities and conduct all work with a high degree of attention to safety

You will report directly to our Engineering Manager, and you'll work out of our Des Plaines, IL location on an On-site work schedule.YOU MUST HAVE
- H.S. Diploma or GED
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in a wet chemistry laboratory
