Talent Manager, Services Department

The Talent Manager, is a newly created position in our Services Department, reporting to the Business Manager.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will bring best practices and execute on great ideas throughout the Talent Management cycle, including Talent Acquisition, Resource Management, Performance Development and Employee Engagement:
Talent Acquisition
• Coordinates the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of Services staff in conjunction with hiring Managers/Directors and Human Resources
• Develops and maintains a pipeline of passive and active candidates and Independent Contractors (ICs)
• Participates in on-boarding new Services talent, ensuring they are set up for success on their very first day
• Stays informed of trends and best practices in Talent Acquisition
Resource Management
• Assists Services Department leadership team with resource planning and staff allocation, and to identify appropriate resource requirements for each project
• Monitors and reports on staff utilization, workload and hours
• Collaborates with other departments as needed on resource management and planning of Services projects
• Documents resource management processes and procedures; maintains resource management records and databases
• Encourages best practices and drives toward continuous process improvement
• Maintains a software license tracking tool, ensuring Services staff receive the specific development software tools required to be successful on his/her project
Talent/Performance Development and Employee Engagement
• Works with Services leadership to identify and implement strategies that allow our employees to diversify projects and develop their professional experiences
• Provides input and ideas on career pathing, upskilling, and other professional development areas
• Develops an employee engagement baseline and provides ideas and best practices on addressing gaps
• Documents Services Dept. Talent Management (TM) processes and procedures and provides communications and education of these to Services employees
• Improves the process for collecting and maintaining skills, certifications, and experiences of current staff
• Provides thought leadership on performance, engagement, and setting metrics, including best practices around individual development plans, metrics, SMART goal setting 360 and skip level discussions, mentoring, communities of practice, etc.
• Assists Services leadership team with the mid-year and year-end employee performance management cycle
