Personal Trainer - West Boise YMCA (Finance)



Serving over 20,000 active youth, adult, and family members, the West Branch of the Treasure Valley Family YMCA helps members lead a healthier, happier life. Facility amenities and features include six fitness studios, three racquetball courts, full-court basketball gym, youth activity center, climbing wall, 50-meter swimming pool, and training pool.

YMCA Personal Trainers are responsible for managing and developing programs for individual clients or small group trainings. Personal Trainers ensure quality programs while maintaining safety standards that meet the Association's guidelines, mission, and goals. All Personal Trainers are responsible for recruiting clients and communicating the positive attributes of a PT program to prospective clients.

Key Qualifications: Personal Trainer certification through NASM, NSCA, ACE, NFPT, NETA, or ACSM is required. Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to influence others in a positive manner, willingness to participate in monthly promotional activities and create a safe, inclusive environment. Must be able to deliver organized training plans for each individual or group consisting of both teens and adults. Must have current CPR/AED certification or ability to obtain within 45 days of hire.

Physical Requirements: Must have the ability to walk, stand, and sit (including on the floor) for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds in weight. Position will require bending, leaning, kneeling, walking.

Schedule Requirements: This is a part-time position with up to 10 hours per week. Hours will vary based on appointment and client needs and flexibility is encouraged. Times will be within our normal hours of operation, 5:00am-8:00pm Monday through Friday, Saturday 7:00am-5:00pm, and Sunday 10:00am-5:00pm. Please be specific about availability on application.
