About the Role:

The Sales Manager will play a critical role in executing our growth strategy across the Americas. This position is responsible for channel performance, direct sales support, and account development. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership skills, channel management expertise, and a drive to exceed goals in technical solution selling environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Channel Strategy Leadership: Lead the development and execution of the North American channel strategy, including selection, evaluation, and consolidation of manufacturers' representatives to maximize efficiency and market coverage.
  • Sales Execution & Revenue Growth: Manage and support direct sales and channel partners to achieve orders and revenue targets, ensuring alignment with company strategy and regional market conditions.
  • Team Coaching: Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to internal sales team members and external partners, creating a culture of high performance and accountability.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with product management, marketing, and operations to support new product launches, market penetration, and Voice of Customer initiatives.
  • Territory Development: Identify and prioritize strategic growth accounts and regions, including targeted expansion in Canada and Latin America.
  • Sales Forecasting & Reporting: Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline visibility, and business insights to support executive decision-making.
  • Customer Engagement: Build and nurture relationships with key customers, distributors, and utility partners to understand needs, resolve issues, and drive long-term loyalty.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of sales leadership experience, preferably in industrial, utility, or technical B2B sales environments.
  • Proven success managing channel partners and direct sales teams across multiple geographies.
  • Demonstrated success driving sales growth and managing key accounts specifically within the U.S. Northeast utility market.
  • In-depth understanding of AMETEK Power Instruments' product portfolio, internal processes, and customer base.
  • Strong knowledge of utility, energy, or power instrumentation industries.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Willingness to travel (up to 50%) as required across territories.

Compensation

Employee Type: Salaried

Salary Minimum: $110,000

Salary Maximum: Market
