“A Day in the Life”

The construction Quality Assurance Inspector ensures the implementation of the Mobile Modular Quality Control Program. This will include coordination and execution of construction inspection for multiple projects. Individual is responsible for assuring that the quality of work performed in the inventory center on modular buildings meets applicable building code and meets the acceptable aesthetic standard for delivery to our customer. This is a consultative working relationship with the production team. This person supports the Inventory and Production areas as needed.

“What You'll Do”

  • Implement the quality control plan as required for routine modification work and manage the organizations quality program including related incentive reporting components
  • Coordinate and schedule performance of QA/QC of construction work orders
  • Ensures work on assets is in accordance with appropriate building code and standard work practices of MMMC
  • Conducts punch walks prior to offline or shipment to customer to ensure quality product
  • Monitor installation techniques to ensure client receives quality product to include:
    • Work order completion QA – ensure that all the lines are completed to our standard
    • Mobile Modular Standards – enforcement of aesthetic “acceptable” standards
    • Operating and Functional standards – HVAC works, doors, windows, lights, receptacles etc. are in working order.
    • Ensures the accuracy of our specifications and data in the BMI
    • Ensure load out accuracy
  • Review all shop drawings and submittals to ensure compliance with specifications and drawings Inspects, repairs, installs, modifies, and maintains electrical/electronic systems, circuits and equipment
  • Act as a safety officer on the project when required
  • Explain technical interpretationof construction code to our Inspector or Evaluators
  • Ensure that rough inspections are ready for Third Party Agency (TPA) inspection
  • Other duties as assigned

“Must Haves”

  • Ability to work with other departments within the organization and vendors to negotiate and resolve issues arising from quality control inspections
  • Ability to communicate clearly and exercise good judgment
  • Ability to record and organize documentation to maintain a quality control program
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Able to work outside in variable weather conditions
  • Prior experience in the construction industry performing electrical and commercial electrical new construction and remodel construction required
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office, especially with proficiency with EXCEL spreadsheets
  • Able to read Company's construction documents and provide guidance to construction team to complete necessary work; fluency in spoken Spanish is a plus
  • Knowledge of LEAN construction a plus

Special Considerations:

  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Able to carry, bend, stoop, turn, kneel, crawl, climb a ladder and other manual labor activities

The specific pay rate and level, if applicable, will depend on the successful candidate's qualifications, prior experience and location.
