Vice President, Program Director (Finance)



This is an exciting opportunity for a process-oriented, go-getter who wants to become a key part of a forward-thinking team as a VP, Program Director. The VP, Program Director is responsible for the day-to-day management of creative marketing, advertising, and PR initiatives in partnership with account colleagues. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be devoted to providing top-notch internal client service and committed to seeing the big picture, while keeping an eye on the small details. As a VP, Program Director your primary role is to bring a collaborative team's vision to life within the scope of the project. Oftentimes at the center of complex initiatives, you will lead the integration of creative components from account, planners, designers, copywriters, producers, and social media strategists (and others). You will be the common thread on projects, managing schedules and deliverables on all initiatives. In addition, this role may have some client contact.

Our Project Directors help define scope, budget, key milestones, timelines, and deliverables. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that project deliverables connect with creative intent, meet time specifications and quality goals.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead estimating and defining scopes in partnership with discipline leads; consult in the development of Statements of Work.
    • Work with our Resource Management team to establish staff plans, align planning/creative/producer needs and project staffing requirements.
    • Oversee, manage, and communicate the status of straight-forward creative initiatives and/or workstreams within complex integrated programs.
    • Ensure the quality and consistency across all projects is consistent with brand guidelines.
    • Using established project management tools, author and maintain project schedules, project briefs, cost estimates and project financial management (OOP & fee) and other relevant project documentation with input from team members.
    • Act as a trusted strategic advisor to executive leadership and other cross functional leaders to help determine which projects should be undertaken, why, when, and how.
    • Influence the Project Management team structure, hiring, and managing staffing requirements in line with project objectives.
    • Oversee project managers for the delivery of projects and programs on-time, within scope, and on budget.
    • Interface with executives to define project priorities and implementation opportunities and challenges

Required Experience:

    • 8+ years of project management or equivalent experience.
    • Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.'
    • Experience working in and on in a digital / creative / communications / ad /PR agency integrated account.
    • Expert-level knowledge of project and change management and associated methodologies, techniques, processes, and approaches.
    • Knowledge of resource management tools.
    • Strategic thinking: ability to juggle multiple goals and deadlines
    • Team leadership and development: ability to mentor, coach and effectively transfer expertise to others
    • Facilitation, negotiation, & problem resolution skills: Ability to build a strong network and relationships
    • PMP certification and/or SCRUM management experience is a bonus.
