What you'll do on a typical day:
- Lead the planning and execution of large-scale IT projects (software, infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, etc.)
- Develop project scopes, detailed work plans, schedules, budgets, and status reports
- Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors for flawless project delivery
- Coordinate geographically dispersed project teams for data integrations, system consolidations, software development, business onboarding projects and other tasks
- Identify and mitigate risks, manage changes, and resolve issues
- Recommend IT strategies, policies and procedures by evaluating organizational outcomes; identify problems, assess trends and anticipate requirements
- Forecast requirements to accomplish financial objectives; prepare an annual budget, schedule expenditures and research variances
- Foster collaboration across departments and manage stakeholder communication
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards
At a minimum, you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
- 5 years of IT project management experience, with at least 3 years in a senior/lead capacity
- Experience with testing the quality of data produced by project teams, researching data and effectively explaining results to business analysts
- Extensive breadth of experience delivering complex projects within budget and scope
- Proficiency in project management tools (JIRA, MS Project, Smartsheet, etc.)
- Expert knowledge of project management methodologies and tools
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional projects in fast-paced environments
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering
- 5+ years of experience as an IT project manager
- PMP, CSM, NRF Retail or Supply Chain certifications
- Ability to work independently, solving complex problems in an ambiguous environment
- Solid business acumen and understanding of business drivers and issues surrounding a project
- Superior interpersonal and conflict resolution skills; solid risk management skills
- Ability to negotiate and build consensus with various groups
