As the Senior Manager II, LM Operations you'll provide support to home delivery services for a designated market region. You'll be responsible for managing daily operations of motor carriers in a regional context for multiple locations, in support of the market operation either in the LMH or Dedicated network. You'll maintains positive and ongoing relationship with external customers, assist in route planning and monitoring, and is responsible for generating positive customer satisfaction.

What you'll do on a typical day:
• Responsible for setting direction regionally in line with XPO values, goals in either in the LMH or Dedicated network
• Build and foster positive working relationships with customers to ensure continued operational improvements
• Work with national sales team on pricing, competitive advantages, and disadvantages to facilitate new avenues of growth
• Manage split and meet P&L budget goals
• Demonstrate business acumen to position market well for future growth opportunities
• Manage daily operations of contract carriers including maintaining contractor schedules, monitoring routes, reports, and fostering positive working relationships with contract carriers and helpers
• Pre-screen contract carriers from incoming applicant data base for contract eligibility based on DOT standards and company policy
• Identify problem areas, including restructuring routes to improve operational efficiencies
• Growth and development of department as it relates to new processes and procedures
What you need to succeed at XPO:
At a minimum, you'll need:
• 5 years of related logistics experience, with supervisory experience
• Experience using Windows applications and Microsoft Office programs such as MS Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Effective organizational, leadership and presentation skills
• Strong business focus with demonstrated ability to act in partnership with management teams
It'd be great if you also have:
• Bachelor's or master's degree in Business, Logistics or related field
• Team-oriented work style - consults with team members and management as needed to complete assigned responsibilities
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Establishes and maintains effective, collaborative work relationships both internally and externally
• Maintains strict confidentiality
