~ The primary purpose of the role is to support the Sr. Group Manager, Media Strategy with the overall planning and management of HMA's media investments. The role will focus on managing media relationships with agencies and external parties; and ensuring media investments are fully integrated/leveraged with the broader Marketing team.
~ Collaborate with Marketing department and agencies to ensure that media investment is properly utilized in support of achieving company objectives.
~ Manage agency personnel in support of media activities (IWA and CWW), including oversight and reconciliation of monthly spending reporting
~ Actively interface with media partners to ensure full leveraging and maximum visibility of partnerships
~ Review, evaluate and recommend new media partnerships
~ Track overall performance of media investment, including key department/company KPIs
~ Support media/marketing management in the optimization of media plans, using data visualization, demand metrics reports, brand metrics reports, media investment tools and third party reports and tools.
~ Develop and manage execution of local market and model specific media plans
~ Organize and/or provide department level information sessions to ensure extension of media investment into all marketing channels
~ Collaborate with Social Media team and ensure alignment with Paid Social executions
~ Participate in the preparation of the annual media budget planning
~ Collaborate with in-market and HDAA/Tier 2 media teams to ensure alignment of strategies and tactics.
~ This position requires frequent independent judgment and decision making in order to provide appropriate direction to HMA's agencies (IWA and CWW). The responsibility for this role is relatively high as the financial impact to HMA may be significant. The Senior Manager is expected to ensure proper approvals as appropriate.
~ Bachelor's degree required.
~ Eight years of experience in media planning/strategy and/or directing agency personnel performing the media buying function.
~ At least three years of media related agency and supplier management experience required.
~ In-depth understanding of both traditional and digital media planning and execution.
~ Experience analyzing and interpreting data visualizations preferred.
~ Prior experience utilizing marketing and advertising technical tools used to measure and inform media investments preferred.
~ Ability to manage high-paced environment with multiple projects and agency personnel.
~ Ability to learn quickly, work in a fast-paced environment, and adapt to changing timelines
~ Ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships at variety of levels; executive, managerial, subordinate and agency hierarchy of personnel.
~ Strong organizational and communication skills.
~ Ability to communicate in a clear, concise manner, both verbally and in writing.
~ Must be detail oriented.
~ Ability to work autonomously and make decisions independently.
~ Effective project, personnel and budget management skills.
~ Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint, advanced knowledge of MS Excel
~ Ability to generate data visualizations (prefer Tableau).
~ Working knowledge of digital marketing and website practices and technologies.
~ Understanding of automotive retail environment.
~ Understanding of media buying practices and terminology.
~ Normal office duties.
~ Occasional travel within US required.
~ Ability to work beyond normal business hours in order to prepare key business presentations for department or executive levels meetings.
