Role description:
Arcadis is seeking a Senior Project Controls Lead with large Capital Project experience to join our Program Management team in Nashville, TN.
As a Senior Project Controls Manager, you will be responsible for leading a Project Controls team (estimating, cost management, project accounting, planning/scheduling, risk management, change management) and actively managing the client and key stakeholders to ensure alignment with program objectives.
Role accountabilities:
Manage the scope of work to the contract deliverables, delegating responsibilities across the team, monitoring team performance, and ensuring deliverables are timely met
Plan resources for team and communicating resource needs to client
Align budgets with funding strategy and performing term sheet updates
Partner with General Contractors and client project manager to set up budgets and track contingency approval, allowance reconciliation, budget transfers and change orders in client tools to keep current budget and cost forecasts up to date.
Support benchmarking efforts by preparing and submitting benchmark data and developing alternative scenarios
Review and validate all contractor change order requests with respect to cost and schedule impacts and provide recommendations for adjustments when appropriate.
Provide cost and schedule review support for reviewing, negotiating, and formalizing change orders, monitoring risks relative to potential changes, and maintaining change control log
Review cost loaded schedule with general contractor, A/E and other vendors to determine and track earned value on each contract and update forecasted cost by month
Create and update cost commitment schedules
Support coordination, planning and review of interim and final GMPs
Secure and reconcile accruals; support cash flow reporting and analysis activities.
Manage review, acceptance and sign-off of a baseline schedule.
Lead weekly meetings with the GC to review schedule performance; review all schedule changes with client staff to identify areas for improvement
Ensure independent monthly schedule analysis is prepared forecasting the current project completion date, cost implications and risks involved
Produce project specific and portfolio reporting; create new reports to proactively convey status and progress; ensure stakeholder alignment of data prior to communication.
Capture lessons learned and benchmarking metrics for future reference
Propose, initiate, and implement continuous improvement to increase efficiency and impact
Desired skills and experience:
Strong skills negotiating and managing relationships with external stakeholders
Expert knowledge of P6 Software
Excellent written, verbal and analytical skills
Ability to think critically
Qualifications & Experience:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
10 years of applicable experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional license CCP or PMP
